Philippine History is the study of significant events, people or places in the Philippines. It has something to do with the Filipinos for they are involve in the history itself.
Philippine history is believed to begin with the arrival of the primitive humans using the land bridges. and through that, man developed their ways of living.
The first recorded visit from the west is the discovery of the Philippines by Ferdinand Magellan. With this, discovery Spaniards abused the Filipinos and conquered us in our land. This leads our heroes to fight for our country.
Years passed, and the Americans arrived and colonized us. After their period, were the Japanese. Among the colonizers of the Philippines, the Japanese are the most brutal. Filipinos suffered a lot from them.
However, our country managed to build its own republic and government. As Emilio Aguinaldo as the first president, Philippines, obtain its independence on June 12, 1898.
Now, Philippines is now on its development period. For sure many years from now, there will be many significant events, people and places that will be included in our history.
